Local hiring managers trying to stay ahead of employee turnover are not making good hourly worker hires. Often they just hire the applicant who can start right away. Large numbers of applications are never even reviewed by managers busy running their stores.
This situation is largely accepted as a “cost of doing business”, but should it be? In this session, we explored how companies are re-imagining their hourly talent acquisition processes to hire better employees who will stay longer. We looked into the various technologies companies are leveraging to make better hires and why they work (or don’t).
