Here’s what we discussed:

3D Secure is complicated, from variations between schemes to SCA exemptions. Cardholders seem to hate it; the user interfaces are seemingly designed to confuse; there are too many options, and the value of it is misunderstood.

Could a smart approach to 3DS help PSPs stand out from the crowd and amplify the value they deliver?

Participants joined this roundtable on 3DS strategy for PSPs to explore ways to leverage its power to help merchants deliver a better shopper journey, boost payments security, and get on card issuers’ good books.

We discussed the reality and potential of 3DS for PSPs, including:

  • In perspective and context: How does 3DS compliance affect PSPs vs merchants?
  • Pain points and selling points for PSPs
  • Opportunities and shortcomings – 3DS and creating a virtuous circle of payment data
  • Facilitating dynamic friction, TRA exemptions, and payment optimization
  • Achieving optimal conversion rates and delivering frictionless shopper experiences

This roundtable provided the opportunity to share your opinions, experiences, and challenges around these topics.

Participants left with ideas on taking your 3DS strategy to the next level, reaping the benefits to differentiate your product in line with your – and your partners’ – growth.
