Going Beyond Transactions to Stop Online Payment Fraud
Networking Lunch at
Bossley Private Dining, Melbourne
Successfully held on 24th July 2024
Here’s what we discussed:
In 2023, global retail e-commerce sales reached an estimated $5.8 trillion and are expected to exceed $8 trillion by 2027. This growth also creates opportunities for fraudsters. According to Nasdaq, fraud scam losses totaled $486 billion globally. And with card cycling, account takeover and other transaction fraud strategies available to fraudsters, it’s difficult to know how to balance an exceptional, low-friction customer experience while combating fraud.
Participants joined us for actionable advice on implementing fraud-prevention strategies with multi-layered, automated risk assessments at various points in the customer journey — from sign-up through transaction— to achieve this balance and set your good customers down a low-friction path while stopping fraudsters at the door.
