Here’s what we discussed:

Considering all the attacks in Australia and around the world, is there a better way to proactively test your defences and breach feasibility?

In this session, we discussed how companies can emulate full kill chain attack scenarios of known APT groups or create their own bespoke template-based scenarios. We got into how companies are assessing systematic weaknesses and security gaps across the full kill chain that expose their organizations to APT and other attacks.

Finally, we talked about how to leverage this knowledge to more easily communicate your security posture and readiness to key business and regulatory stakeholders.

  • Learn how to actively challenge and scrutinise your security defences/controls to assess if they are protecting your organization.
  • Assess parts of your security or the complete kill chain including known APT and provide proof to your management
  • Learn how to provide factual and accurate baselining of your current state with goals to improve

A recent ACSC report highlights the growing risks of cybercrimes in Australia:

  • $98 million in financial losses due to BEC
  • A 25 per cent increase in the number of publicly reported software vulnerabilities
  • A cybercrime report every 7 minutes on average
