Here’s what we discussed:
A new and significant market demographic is emerging globally for financial services providers—we refer to them as thin-file customers. These are consumers that typically haven’t used traditional financial services products to complete transactions, such as credit cards, bank accounts, or debit cards.
Converting these prospects to customers quickly is essential to long-term success because of the substantial lifetime value they offer to your business. People typically maintain long-term relationships with their bankers, lenders, and investment advisors. Onboarding these customers can be costly since there is often very little data available to identify them when they attempt to open new accounts online.
To gain visibility into these potential customers, providers must augment deterministic assessment with a probabilistic assessment based on the analysis of dynamic personally identifiable information (PII) such as an email address, physical address, telephone number, and IP address.
