Faced with challenges around everything from customer engagement to risk management, security and governance to operational excellence, businesses everywhere must become data-driven if they are to remain competitive. Bypassing many of the cost and organisational bottlenecks associated with implementing new capacity in on-premise data centres, the cloud will play a key role in this.
But becoming data-driven means servicing the requirements of all the stakeholders who work with that data. To avoid creating unsustainable data silos, enterprises require the flexibility to support each stakeholder group in an environment where data, governance and security policies are shared and enforced comprehensively and consistently.
